Enterprise Evolution wasn't born in a boardroom.
It emerged from successful experiments in Norway with the Global Centre of Expertise, blossomed through collaborative projects with municipalities in Kitchener ON and Nanaimo BC, and matured through academic partnerships with the Flourishing Enterprise Institute at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada.
We're not a traditional consultancy.
We're an international collective — academics, practitioners, and innovators — co-creating something that doesn't fit in existing boxes.
Our approach evolves with every project because we practice what we preach: adaptive learning.
The Global Centre of Expertise – Norwegian Offshore Drilling & Engineering (GCE-NODE), an industry-driven innovation cluster focused on ocean technologies, commissioned Edward James Consulting (EJC) to design and implement an experiential leadership development program. GCE-NODE sought to enhance the strategic innovation and competitive capabilities of its senior leadership.

EJC, in strategic alliance with REFOCUS and Transformation by Design (TBD), organizations sharing a commitment to catalyzing transformative leadership for flourishing enterprises, collaboratively developed the Enterprise Evolution Program. This program, designed to cultivate both participant and facilitator expertise, was successfully piloted with GCE-NODE. The program's efficacy resulted in subsequent cohort implementations and the development of a new service offering for the innovation cluster. GCE-NODE now licenses the program for dissemination to other Norwegian innovation clusters across diverse sectors.

Projects with municipal partners, Kitchener, in Ontario, and Nanaimo, BC, have allowed EE to further develop its skills and value proposition for local governments and present its findings in International conferences such as the RSD 13.

Building on this success, REFOCUS, TBD, and Desklight Research & Consulting (DRC) engaged in the ongoing refinement and expansion of the program, with the strategic intent of scaling its delivery across multiple industries, sectors, and geographic regions. Partnership development with the Flourishing Enterprise Institute (FEI), the Viessmann Centre for Engagement and Research in Sustainability (VERiS) at Wilfrid Laurier University and the Strategic Innovation Lab at OCAD University began there.
EE is actively establishing further partnerships in the municipal sector, with international non-governmental organizations, and university research units. and practitioners, As an international collective EE is actively developing and enhancing its comprehensive framework for organizational transformation in what we are calling the EE Dev Project. This framework is grounded in systems theory and a commitment to regenerative practices. An international Steering Committee and Board of Directors, comprised of academic scholars, industry practitioners, and executive leaders, provide strategic guidance in the co-creation of innovations for our clients and collaborators.
